Perspective

One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love.

It's officially Christmas break around here (my littlest one had her last day of school yesterday), which means less creative time and more time to settle into little people and all of the joy and neediness that comes along with that.

My four-year-old and I are having a sweet and cozy morning around here; lots of games of "Rat-A-tat-Cat" and "Guess Who" next to the lit up Christmas tree, festive music, hot tea, candles.  Sweetness.  My attention is on staying present with my little beauty, trying not to dwell on the many many things that "need" doing; Christmas shopping/wrapping/cards, toilet scrubbing, laundry doing, house cleaning, etc...

It will all get done, right?  For now, I'll take deep breaths and remember that, really, it's all about Love.  It's really that simple.
