In the Space Between

In the midst of my morning routine with my little ones, in the space between cutting the crust off toast, listening with a strained ear to arguing and more arguing over who got what color of gummy bear vitamin, and digging through  laundry for matching socks, I opened up this post.

The eyes and images and colors that stared back at me, along with Lisa's words, shook me awake, opened my senses--stirred something deep inside. Something i'm not sure i have the words for.  All at once i felt overwhelming love and pride and a deep-seated longing to make the most of this wild and beautiful life.  To make a difference, to touch people's hearts in places they haven't been touched before, to feel the warmth of the sun, to open and open more, to love and love more, to sink my nose my whole face into flowers, to hold my girls close, to savor their laughter, to play and skip and make the sweetest kind of beauty.

To do all of these things in the best way i know how.  yep, that's what i want.
