If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is 'Thank you,' it will be enough. -Meister Eckehart
Feeling a little overwhelmed and depleted here this evening so i think i'll occupy this space with a list of the many blessings i've received in the last few days. It always lifts my spirit when i focus on the little moments of beauty that come my way. (Rather than all that hasn't been done and "needs" doing or all that seems hard or confusing.)
*Eating a plum with my five-year-old yesterday...it was so sweet to see her walking down the road taking big, drippy bites, and saying, over and over again, "Mmmmmm, Mommy, this is SO good!"
*The mug of sweet, frothy chai tea i just drank
*Heartfelt emails from a dear, sweet, compassionate, open-hearted friend
*Finally getting my pendants listed in my shop (after lots of little moments of frustration and uncertainty)
*My first pendant sales!
*Eating a big bowl of homemade minestrone soup this evening. And caesar salad.
*Late night soaks in the hot tub
*Receiving a big bear hug from my eight-year-old this evening, and really being present with it and her
*Deciding to go on what is going to be a beautiful retreat this weekend
*Listening to lively, playful bluegrass music and finding myself wanting to dance
*Sitting here now, giving myself the gift of quiet
what gorgeous small things to enjoy and notice. life really is the small moments, piled up together.
