Rivers and Flow and Stuff

"When you do things from your soul, you feel a river flowing in you, a joy." —Rumi

Eckhart Tolle says there are three key ingredients to enlightenment; non-attachment, non-judgment and non-resistance.    It's amazing how, whenever i feel constriction/fear/anger/frustration/irritation, etc..i can see very clearly that i'm doing one (or all) of the above; attaching, judging, resisting.

These last few days have been a challenge for me.  With my older daughter home from school (parent/teacher conferences), i've had little time to do the things that typically rejuvenate and inspire.    Instead of flowing with the what IS-ness of it all, and allowing IT to be my inspiration, i've resisted and then judged myself for resisting and then judged myself for judging.  And attached like crazy to the idea of getting back into a peaceful, flow-y place.  Which really hasn't happened (or has been very fleeting), because i've been judging and resisting and attaching.

And around and around i've gone.

Right now, when i pause for just a minute, i can hear this quiet, subtle voice saying, get off the computer and go listen to yourself.  Sounds like my soul talking.  Good advice, i think.

Sweet dreams, friends.

  1. Did your soul continue to converse with you? ;)

Any dreams sweetly reveal themselves in the night?

    Happy Friday, friend!

  2. You are sweet. It does seem to be always resisting what IS that causes pain. Your blog posts always make me feel like I am not alone in my thoughts.

What are you thinking/feeling? I'd really love to know...
