Abundance

a·bun·dance (-bndns)
n.
1. A great or plentiful amount.
2. Fullness to overflowing:
3. Affluence; wealth.
4. Degree of plentifulness
5. fullness: a fullness of spirit that overflows

It's been nonstop around here with fun & happy summertime activities.  An abundance of goodness; sunshine (finally), outdoor time, gorgeous scenery, playing with friends & family, yummy strawberry picking (between the four of us we picked 52 pounds in just a few days!), sitting by campfires, eating delicious food, staying up too late...

It's been fun and simple and lovely.  I feel full & plentiful and very very blessed.

My sweet husband & i even fit a mountain bike ride into our afternoon yesterday while the girls were at their summer camp.  This was a very rare occurrence for me.  I sucked some serious wind on the very very long uphill & had to stop a few times to find my breath again, but i made it all the way to the top!  And what  a gorgeous view there was up there.  And then came the downhill...so much fun!  In those moments when i wasn't riding the breaks around the tight switchbacks or trying to avoid large trees and rocks, i was flying!  I think i actually giggled out loud a few times it was so much fun!

Which, by the way, i've decided is my word for this summer.  Fun.  Amazing what happens when you bring something to mind & set intentions...suddenly you find yourself creating.   What a lovely thing.

Oh & i played volleyball (the last time may have been high school) on the fourth of July with family members & have bruised fingers and wrists to show for it.  Apparently i have no idea the proper way to hit a volleyball.

Oh, and guess what?  It's 9:10 in the morning and both my girls are still asleep!  I don't think this has ever happened--where both of them sleep this late.

Could Oregon be any more gorgeous?

Serious abundance.

I sit here with sore muscles, cozy sleeping cat at my feet, a slight cool morning breeze & sunshine coming through the open window, with a full heart and so much gratitude for it all.

Thank you, dear readers, for being here--you are so much a part of that abundance.

P.S: It's now 9:45 & they're still asleep!
