Space to Breathe

Feeling so much this morning.

Sitting in the sunshine, letting the precious warmth fill me up inside.  Overflowing with gratitude for this life i get to live.

Seeing again my adorable five-year-old sitting at her little desk, with her pigtails and new flowery dress and patent leather shoes, so excited & eager for her very first day of kindergarten.  She was so full of sureness as we squeezed each other close and said our goodbyes.  It was me who had tears, spilling over with pride for the little person she has become and has always been.

I am so grateful for this quiet moment, the space to breathe in all the beauty.

I'm grateful for my friend, Brooke, who every day inspires me with her courage to open and unravel and shed all that stands in the way of living straight from her sweet heart.  Her words made me sob this morning, they penetrated so deeply.

Just sitting here in awe, giving thanks for it all.

  1. Oh my goodness, what a sweet face she has! I know you are a proud mama, I can feel it in your words. I was thinking of you the other day, wondering how you were. Now I know - you were getting ready to send your baby girl off to school!

  2. Such a sweet adorable picture that captures her little personality! Such beautiful emotion in honor of your baby starting Kindergarten. Your recognition of the space to breathe and take in all that you were feeling in the present moment is such a gift to this world. Changing the fabric.

Thank you for being touched by my words and linking to them. It reaches deeply into my heart to know that you connect in such a way to my experience.

  3. such a sweet photo of your adorable little one. i cant believe she is in kindergarten. oh how the time goes so fast.

What are you thinking/feeling? I'd really love to know...
