"The purpose of life is not to be safe. It is to be open. To be dedicated to the truth, to the joy as it streams through your life. Because if you are not, then no matter what you have, you will always want more, you will be forever hungry. And if you are, then no matter what happens, you will one day discover that it is you who you have been hungering for. It has been you, not the food you eat, the clothes you buy, the people you love, the money you make. For lifetimes, for eons, for as long as it takes for a mountain to become a mountain, it has always been you. You are the feast. You." Geneen Roth
Oh my. Abundance is spilling out all over the place over here. I'm giddy & excited and full.
I've just recently connected with Rachel Awes, the beautiful, open, free soul who created the piece of art above. She and her art bursts my heart right open. It's love, it's connection, it's recognition of something in me that wants so deeply to be free. Like, really free. Free to open, free to create, free to love, free to express, free to be every itty bitty part of myself. Free to embrace it all.
It is only when i love and see and embrace all of me that i can love and see and embrace all of you. And i want so very much to do that. Thank you for reminding me of this, Rachel, & for sharing the "feast of you" with us.
I hope the above quote, along with Rachel's burst of color, will connect you to the joy as it streams through your life and to all you've been hungering for. And reminds you that you are the feast. You are the one you've been hungering for.
And i hope you'll join me in speaking your beautiful truth, even if your voice shakes.

Wow, sounds like another kindred being! I visited her site and love the whimsy and inspirational texts with her art. Isn't it amazing how you just come through your art, and when you embrace all of yourself how it just comes through. What a beautiful journey. Thank you for being the 'gatherer'today and showing me yet another example.
ReplyDeleteOhhh thank you Julia for introducing us to this lovely & inspiring artist! I love her words and her whimsical illustrations! Lovely! I love this Fearless Friday feature that you have on your blog... and your writing "you are the one you've been hungering for.." I can so relate to these words... heavenly.
ReplyDeleteAs Amy wishes for herself, so do I wish for her as well.
Love & blessings,
