Stuckness

`
'Little Birdie' Featured Artist of the Day:  Melissa Kennedy

I have a lot to say on this fearLESS Friday but the words seem to be stuck somewhere inside me.  So, rather than pushing, I will let things be tonight.  Instead, I'll leave you with a message from  the "Brave Girls Club," I feel certain they were written just for me.  (If you're a boy, please make the appropriate substitutions.  :)

Happy weekend everyone.

Dear Cherished Girl,

Sometimes we have a long string of icky experiences or circumstances that cause us to believe that the world is not a safe place and that people are not to be trusted.

Lovely friend, please open your heart to all of the goodness that is in the world. There are incredible people and enormous amounts of beauty and truth around every corner. There is so much to look forward to as you work your way through the muck to the other side of it.

And that's what we all must do when we find ourselves in these kinds of situations.....work through to the other side of it...seek for the light. Remember that a tiny little candle can put out ANY amount of enormous darkness, but darkness can never put out even the tiniest light. It is worth it to seek far and wide for beauty, truth and light.

Please open yourself up to trust again. Trust in your own journey, trust in yourself. Trust in all that you have learned and where you have been and what you have experienced. Open yourself up to love and beauty and goodness...there truly is so much of it out there to be found. And, when you open yourself up to it....it will find you, too.

  2. Dear Julia,

Firstly, I want to thank you for your beautiful, tender comments on the two posts you read on my blog. I also have no idea how you ended up there, but I'm just so glad that something I wrote weeks ago was relevant to you now.

I hear such a strong choice for tenderness in your post above, and the words you wrote - your words and the words from Brave Girls' Club (what is that? Never heard of it before) - resonated deeply within me, speaking straight to my little girl, who is so happy today but always soaks up love.

I completely trust that you know within you exactly what you need. And I am thrilled to have chosen to follow you, reading and connecting with you along the way.

    Love,
    Elloa xxx

  3. Thank you Julia.
Just the right words to read at this time. To read everyday actually. To trust and to open my heart, it sounds so simple and indeed it is when wise guides like you are reminding us. I want to find the everyday actions now to maintain the trust and the open heart. x
