Sitting With Discomfort

"There is nothing else for you to do but to truly love and nourish the emotionally and spiritually starved parts of you that are crying out for your attention.  This is the antidote, the answer, and the solution out of which all divine realization are born."  Debbie Ford (The 21-Day Consciousness Cleanse)

Feeling achy, hazy, rainy, gray, unmotivated, pulled, wanting, unclear, disconnected, overwhelmed.  And really really tired.

Something is crying for my attention.  I think I'll turn off this computer now & just sit with what's here.  Breathe it in deeply, allow it to move through me, let go of the to it all.

  1. "Just sitting" is my favourite way to deal. It allows me to connect with the fuzzy, generalized anxiety and ask it questions. I love the aha moment that inevitably comes when I give my internal cast of characters the space and time to tell me what's going on with them. <3 Enjoy your silence and your solitude! We'll be here when you get back.

  2. And yet you still shine. You are a sun for me. Thank you for your warmth and for showing up again and again just wanting to do good in this world, and to love yourself and others as they so deeply deserve. I love you!

  3. i think sometimes the best thing we can do when we are feeling all of this is simply to "just sit"....let yourself "be with it".

clarity seems to come in the quietness.

  4. Julia,

Give yourself time to cleanse. Allow your tears to cleanse your soul. Take time to be. Listen to the quite whisper of your heart. You are a beautiful inspiration.
    Big hugs,

  5. Julia, you said in a few short words how I have been feeling for a few long weeks.

I'm in the middle of writing about it, but WOW! You've captured the essence of what's been in my heart.

Thank you... so deeply... thank you.

  6. Hi Julia, I wrote a post yesterday about feeling better in the middle of the bleak. I left off that very important one: do nothing. Sometimes, that is best. Also, I'm sending you virtual flowers. Daffodils. To have next to you while you sit.

What are you thinking/feeling? I'd really love to know...

♥ Julia
