Roll down the windows
throw open the doors
dip your toes in magenta
burnt umber, cobalt blue
Let yourself sing off-key
For this you came
to show up
to show up
Here
to swim and splash
in the shimmering palette
in the shimmering palette
of you
to make something out of nothing.
What good is "good" or "safe"
when you can have spilling over laughter
heart-melting connection
breath-giving moments
of Real?
Rip off your life-preservers
stop clinging to the shore
of what makes sense
Turn the sky upside down
Let faith be your shelter
your candle, your torch
your one and only
safety net
With hand over heart
in this right now moment
in this right now moment
say yes!
a leaping-with-the-whole-of-your-body
YES
to your Life
i am turning the sky upside down.
ReplyDeleteok, julia, i will.

Dear Becky,
DeleteI just popped over to your blog and the words that were waiting for me there completely opened me this morning...how much I could relate and see myself in your "43 and Finding Myself" post.
I'm so very glad you're here, walking this wild, painted path with me.
