Questions I'm Asking Myself...and an interview

What if I could see the perfection in everything that IS?
What if I knew that HERE is always the best place to be?
What if I let go?
What if I let go more?

A couple of months ago, I posted a link to my very first video interview with the lovely Lori Portka.  At the time, I couldn't get the video to show up here, but now it's showing up!  This is what I had to say about the interview back in July...

As part of her new "What's Real" video serious, the amazing woman & artist Lori (above) & I talk about the inspiration behind my book, On the Other Side of Fear, and all the little challenges/faith-strengtheners along the way.  This is yet another one of those steps out of my comfort zone, a stretch for sure--a good, feel-the-fear-and-do-it-anyway kind of stretch.  In watching this I learned a lot about myself.  Like, I play with my hair...a lot and I like to say the work "exactly."  For some reason (maybe because I'm constantly moving), I'm a little on the blurry side.  Hmm.

Smiles.  Oh well...hope you enjoy.

P.S:  Below is the quote I was stumbling over later in the interview....
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”  Marianne Williamson

  1. Two of my favorite people side by side. This is gorgeous and so very inspiring. Love to you!

  2. I just watched the video and am moved by so many things. It's powerful to hear each of you speak about those voices and how we automatically jump to conclusions. (Is there a T-shirt out there for this? I need one.) And it's even more powerful to hear you speak about just taking one step at a time, that one step leads to another and then another. I also heard loud and clear the importance of having friends who support us as the real individuals we are, to go to them when feeling a vulnerability hangover...oh, I love that lesson in and of itself!

Thank you so much for sharing this.

I continue to be so inspired by your courage...and your vulnerability.

What are you thinking/feeling? I'd really love to know...
