The Price of Invulnerability
"You cannot selectively numb emotions. When we numb the dark emotions, when we numb vulnerability and fear and shame of not being good enough, we by default numb joy." Dr. Brené Brown

There is such beauty in opening/sharing/showing our Real, our vulnerabilities...I see more and more clearly how embracing the whole of our imperfect selves/others is what opens us to what's most important. I see more and more clearly how the point isn't to be "good" or "better" but to be Love....thank you, Brené, for affirming this.

I want to do something fun & different today! My lovely friend, Jodi Chapman, has been drawing "angel cards" for her readers for several months now & it's been so much fun it's inspired me to do something similar. A while ago I created what I call "Truth Cards," little phrases/affirmations/questions that can be used as messages/guides.
I would love to draw one for you! If you leave a comment (any comment or just a word or two indicating that you'd like me to draw one for you---just "yes" is enough!), I will get really quiet & centered & pull a card just for you. (Which I will share with you in the comment section.)
I use these whenever I feel I could use a little extra guidance (in a fun & light way!). Last night I pulled out a card that said, "Trust your open heart," and it was just what I needed to hear.
Wanna play with me?
