Just for today
let's
pretend
we don't
have these bodies
skin,
scars, bones - weathered fence
that
keeps it all in
Instead
we would be
here
one heart
beating
to the
rhythm of everything, everywhere
mountain,
tree, rock, wild wind
nothing
in the
way
Do you
hear it?
All of it
is asking
and
asking
the same
ancient
question
What is
that thing stamped into
your
bones-that thing that won't stop
calling your
name?
There is
a reason
and it's
all
yours
will you
step
toward
or away?
Lovely lovely poem as always

Julia,
ReplyDeleteYou have such a ways with words. "What is that thing stamped into/your bones-that thing that won't stop/calling your name?" Wow. That question is so powerful and beautifully written.
You are a beautiful soul, Julia. As Brooke says above, thank you for shining your light.
Jenna, every time you come here and leave your words/your gifts for me, I have the same thought - "Wow, she has a beautiful way with words." Seriously. You continuously say things in a way that feels like the sun has just come out. Thank you for blessing me and for your ongoing support. I am full of gratitude for you and your words. Love, Julia
